Captain Joe's Oyster Bar is shown on Google Maps! I have been fishing this oyster bar on and off for several years. When conditions are right, good fish have been landed (and lost) near this bar. A few days ago, I took a charter group to the bar. One of them landed a 38" Bonnet Head Shark and asked what the area was called. I told him that it was not identified on the charts but my son, my friends, and I call it Joe's Bar. To make a long story short, he went into google maps, submitted the name, and it was accepted! Thanks Tim T. and the group below for a very memorable day. Captain Joe's Oyster bar is located in the northeast corner of Estero Bay if you want to search for it. Or you could book a charter, visit in person, and just maybe, make your own memory.
